The Session Consultation & Chat
Each photography shoot is a unique experience, designed and tailored to you and your family so we can create bespoke artwork for your home.
The session consultation helps us to do exactly that. A couple of days before your shoot, we will have a chat (usually by phone), discussing things like the type of images you would like, your style, people involved, props or no props, the colour scheme, clothing etc, answering all your questions.
We will also chat about the end goal, what you hope to have at the end of this process, be that fabulous artwork for your walls, coffee table books, portrait boxes or digital files.
The Photography Session
At AD Photography we use a portable studio, so the photo shoot takes place in the comfort of your own home. A typical newborn session usually lasts about 3 to 4 hours allowing time for feeds and cuddles etc. Shoot times vary depending on everything from style to age of family members, outfit changes and the number of different set-ups. We always work with controlled studio lighting and a selection of props and backdrops. These will all be discussed and planned at the consultation.
The photo session is structured to be a relaxed, fun experience, where your family’s true (and most endearing) personalities can be captured. During the consultation chat, the shoot is fully planned so you know what to expect and can decide what you want in advance, meaning the only surprise is how easily it all happens on the day.
The Viewing and Ordering Appointment
About two weeks after the shoot, we will schedule a time for the viewing consultation in your home, where Aileen will present your images. This is when you get to see the finished edited images from your photography session.
At this viewing, we will plan your image purchase, and we take the time to design the right art pieces for you. You can choose from the extensive product list or one of our collection packages. We’ll help you sort through the images and make final decisions on what will look best with your décor.
We know this process can be sometimes daunting and we are here to walk you through every step of the way so you end up with amazing artwork on your walls to cherish for years to come.
Delivery
And finally, the best bit, approximately 3-4 weeks later (order times vary depending on the product), your order will be shipped. We will then call or email to let you know it’s ready and make arrangements for delivery.
